The 2007 Children’s Painting Competition is part of OceanNEnvironment’s public awareness campaign to promote conservation of sharks and the beauty of our seas.  This competition promotes the artistic talents of children in countries of the Asia-Pacific encouraging them to show us their perspective of conservation and the ocean environment through their works of art. The competition is open to children and young people from the Asia-Pacific countries.

Our vision is for children’s paintings in the Celebrate the Sea competition to send a simple but powerful message: children from the Asia Pacific are joining hands to help protect sharks and they are enjoying the beauty of our seas. We look forward to seeing their raw talent, ingenuity and imagination and their contribution to solving the problems our ocean world.

This competition is part of OceanNEnvironment’s public awareness campaign for the conservation of sharks and encourages children to show us their fresh perspectives on conservation.  The great thing about this competition is that everyone goes home a winner.
